Green Chandlier

A natural fiber craft that lends the strength, beauty & durability of the lustrous strands in products of daily use.
This lamp is made out of Leaves of Rambass/Sisal plant, found in Uttarakhandis crushed between rollers and then mechanically scraped to derive the fiber. Sisal fiber is then washed, dried and double brushed.
The women, practicing sisal craft in Dehradun, Uttarakhand not just uplift this natural craft but also nurture fearlessness, discipline, courage, motivation and skill of several brave soldiers of the country being their wives, mothers, daughters and daughter-in-law’s.
